24H Series – Spa 12 Hour

P1 at the Chequered flag

A last-minute call-up saw me back behind the wheel for the Spa 12 Hour, stepping into a GT3 car at one of the most challenging circuits on the calendar with very limited preparation.

Going into the weekend, I had only completed eight laps before qualifying and had never previously driven a GT3 car around Spa. It was always going to be a steep learning curve, but the focus was on building confidence quickly and making the most of the opportunity.

Despite that, we delivered when it counted—putting the car on pole position and starting the race from the front.

The race itself was split into two parts, and we executed strongly throughout. We were able to take the lead in Part 1, setting the tone heading into the final segment. From there, it was about maintaining consistency, managing traffic, and keeping everything under control.

The final hour added another layer of challenge, with intermittent rain making conditions unpredictable. We stayed out on slicks, which made things tricky at times, but we managed it well and kept the car on track when it mattered most.

In the end, we came away with the overall win—something that’s hard to put into words given how the weekend started. From a last-minute call-up with almost no running, to taking pole, leading, and converting it into victory, it’s an incredible result.

A huge thank you to the team and everyone involved for the opportunity and the hard work across the weekend. One I won’t forget.
