GT3 Debut at the 24h dubai

The Dubai 24 Hours marked a major milestone with a GT3 debut and a first-ever 24-hour race appearance in the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, shared with three teammates in a highly competitive 34 car GT3 grid.

The team qualified P11 in class and demonstrated strong pace in the opening stages, climbing as high as P6 as the race unfolded and establishing themselves in the fight near the front of the field.

During the early hours of the morning, a teammate was involved in an incident just before a Code 60 period, which caused significant damage. The car required a steering rack change and spent nearly two hours in the garage, dropping the team out of contention. Despite the setback, the team fought back to reach the finish, ultimately placing 23rd in GT3. While the result did not reflect the performance potential shown earlier in the the race, completing the event remained a valuable achievement for the crew.

For him personally, the race was a major step forward. He completed key stints from 10pm to midnight and again from around 6am, gaining his first experience of night driving, multi-class traffic management, and long-run consistency in GT3 machinery. He also set the 38th fastest lap of the race, underlining strong pace in his debut GT3 endurance outing.

The Dubai 24 Hours provides a strong foundation to build on as he continues progressing in international GT competition.
